Martine Franck’s approach to her work is to welcome the unexpected. This is reflected in her photographic practice, which is characterised by an attraction to the moment, despite the care she takes with composition and framing. This monograph, the most comprehensive to date, is edited by Agnès Sire. The selection of images is the result of a collaboration with Martine Franck before her death. The chronological structure of the book highlights the unique approach of the photographer, whose black and white images are characterised by geometry, curves and lines.
