After consulting the Board of Directors, Serge Toubiana, President of the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, has appointed CLÉMENT CHÉROUX as Director of the Fondation HCB.
He will succeed François Hébel, who was appointed Director of the foundation in 2018, and Agnès Sire, who founded the institution alongside Henri Cartier-Bresson, Martine Franck and their daughter Mélanie Cartier-Bresson. François Hébel was behind the Fondation’s move to Rue des Archives, then of the site’s extension, which will be inaugurated on November 8, 2022. With an imposing program of nearly sixty exhibitions since 2003, Agnès Sire turned the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson into one of the world’s most prestigious institutions on photography, ensuring respect and attention to the work of its founders. Since 2018, she has dedicated herself to the foundation’s programming and artistic outreach.
Clément Chéroux will take office on December 5, 2022.
