Atelier Anonim presents a selection of abandoned chairs in the style of a furniture catalog. These objects are the creations of workers at a mechanical engineering factory in a small Romanian town. Each chair is unique, handcrafted to suit the position and needs of its creator, a personalized model of support and rest. After major layoffs, the factory closed in January 2020. Costin Popescu & Alin Cincă (vul-ne-ra-bil) visited the site a month later to find the remains of the factory. Through the simplicity of its shots and design, Atelier Anonim bears silent witness to the work of these workers, their passage and their sudden departure.
