In March 1914, Oskar Barnack puts the finishing touches on the first model of compact camera for 35mm standard cinema film, the Leica. This light and mobile camera made it easier for amateurs or beginners to take pictures, but more than that, it enabled a new way of seeing things, more dynamic.
On the 100th birthday of this revolutionary camera, this volume of about 1200 pictures presents a wide history of the cultural and artistic impact of the Leica, from the 20s to the present day.
